After three weeks of no competitive action, having last played on September 10 when the club defeated TS Galaxy 2-0 in the league, Pirates will be back in Orlando this Saturday against Sundowns in the first leg of their MTN8 semi-final fixture.

With the Buccaneers finalizing preparations for the eagerly awaited match, Maela has hinted at the plan to defeat the defending champions for a chance to win some silverware this season.
"We're playing against a very good team, but we have a plan. We know how to play the game and we must make sure that we don't play the occasion, but play the game," said Maela, as quoted via the club's official website.

"It's also very important for us to do well in the first leg because it's our home game in front of our supporters. At the end of the day, it's a tie with two legs, so we have to be smart and we need to know how to play in a certain way to give ourselves a chance going into the second leg and ultimately progress to the final," the defender added.
