In celebration of Women's month, MTN8 Wafa Wafa has birthed a new innovation that honours and celebrates the support of women to South African soccer.
The South African mobile telecommunications giant has recently launched the MTN8 Female Fan of the Match competition.
MTN8 awards female lovers of the game who are dressed in extraordinary outfits which incorporate fan insignia from their respective teams.
The lady with the best outfit in an official MTN8 fixture receives R16 000 with half the prize money (R8 000) going to a charity organisation of her choice.
"We are pleased with the efforts the ladies have put in into their outfits in the quarter-final matches, and we look forward to seeing more ladies dazzle us with their unique creations throughout the tournament," said MTN's Larry Annetts, who is the Chief Marketing Officer.
