MP Black Aces coach Clive Barker said that his side were lucky to only concede four goals in their MTN8 quarterfinal match against Kaizer Chiefs on Sunday.
Goals from Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Kingston Nkhatha and a brace from Mandla Masango handed Chiefs the win.
Speaking after the match Barker admitted they started with the wrong game plan and were fortunate not to lose by more.
"It didn't quite work," said Barker
"We thought we would try keep it across the middle and play five to start with, with only one striker, but it didn't quite work because within two minutes we were one nil down and by ten minutes the game was really over.
"I thought there were times when we passed the ball well, but we have a lot of work to be done.
"Chiefs could have scored more than four and we were fortunate to get away with that.
"We will fight another day and turn things around, but it is going to be a lot of hard work."
