The Burundi international was a notable absentee for Amakhosi in their two-all draw to struggling TS Galaxy at the FNB Stadium.
There were questions when the towering striker was left out of the matchday squad altogether, despite no update from the club on his absence.
Now, addressing the media ahead of their crucial encounter in Durban, Zwane has shed some light on the striker's injury.
"I think we'll get the doctor's report tomorrow [Friday] because today we are off. I don't know how long he is going to be out but one thing that I know for sure is that he has got a little bit of a challenge here and there, but we are still waiting for the doctor's report," Zwane told journalists.
The coach further mentioned that the club is profiling a number of strikers to add much-needed competition to the Chiefs firing line.
"We are profiling a lot of strikers at the moment so [hopefully] we get the one that we need and will fit in our way of playing," he added.
Chiefs take on AmaZulu in the MTN8 semi-final second leg at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Sunday. Kick off is at 15:30.
