The MTN8 semi-final trip to Rustenburg to face defending champions, Platinum Stars, hasn't fazed Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper and captain, Itumeleng Khune.
Speaking at the MTN8 semi-final draw conference held at the PSL offices in Parktown, Johannesburg earlier today, the Amakhosi skipper declared that it doesn't matter where they face Platinum Stars, it will not affect his psychology and that of his teammates.
"I would have loved to play them first at home, but honestly it doesn't matter where we play. We are in good mental and physical condition, and the psychology within the players is a winning one, so we are ready to travel to Platinum Stars," stated Khune.
"What will be vital for us is that we get the away goal and keep a clean sheet. Stars are the current champions of the MTN8, and we have to respect that fact, but it's been five years since we've lifted the cup and we want that feeling again," concluded the Chiefs and Bafana Bafana first choice keeper.
Kaizer Chiefs will travel to Rustenburg to face Platinum Stars in the first leg of the competition.
The first leg will be played on the weekend of 16 17 August.
