Orlando Pirates' assistant coach, Eric Tinkler, says that he's happy to see the side creating chances, but admits they need to work on converting more of them.
The Buccaneers beat SuperSport United 2-1 at the weekend in order to progress to the semifinals of the MTN8 tournament, though the game could easily have been put to bed in the first half.
Daine Klate and Kermit Erasmus got the goals for Pirates, though a number of other chances were spurned throughout the course of the game and Matsatsantsa almost got themselves back into it after David Mathebula grabbed a goal back for them.
Speaking at the semifinal draw, Tinkler said that Pirates are aiming to reach their fifth consecutive cup final, saying, "We set ourselves objectives of winning everything last season, we got to four finals and unfortunately won only one, but we want to keep that run going."
Meanwhile, he also added that the team is working hard on making sure they finish off the chances they create. He said, "Last season we weren't creating enough, that wasn't the case against SuperSport, we now need to work on turning them into goals. It's something that we work extremely hard at training with regards to that, and will continue to do so.
"Most importantly we are creating the chances, and surely your percentage of goals will rise if you do keep creating those chances."
