AmaZulu coach Brandon Truter is confident of his team's chances, ahead of their clash against Kaizer Chiefs in the MTN8 semi-finals.
Following their emphatic 2-1 victory over Cape Town City away in the quarterfinals of the competition, Usuthu have been drawn to face Amakhosi in the two-legged semi-final and Truter believes that his team can go all the way to the final in the prestigious competition.
"I think at the semi-final stage of any competition all the teams are top quality. There are no easy games of course, I think it's all tough games. Drawing the Mighty Amakhosi is good for us in terms of testing. I think the first leg being an away draw, that gives us a bit of an advantage. If you can get the job done away from home early, that puts us in a very good position in the second leg," said Truter, speaking to the media.
"We want to do well. For us at the moment, we want to win every match. This is a competition, a cup game, it's a cup on offer, so if it's there to be taken we fancy our chances against Chiefs (or) against any team for that matter. I'm feeling confident and the boys have been playing well and the team is always improving in every match and I'm happy so far but there's always a room for improvement and I expect us to be top quality and in top form facing Chiefs in the first leg of the semi-final of the MTN8," the coach said.
