In a dramatic final day of the 2020/21 season, Royal AM won automatic promotion to the lucrative PSL after a 1-1 draw with Cape Town All Stars, while Sekhukhune United qualified for the play-offs with a 3-1 success over JDR Stars.
However, it's important to state that the DC case involving Sekhukhune and Polokwane City has not been finalised because the PSL is contesting 3-points awarded to Babina Noko in an arbitration case that could result in Royal's promotion being overturned.
The latest news on this debacle, is that the PSL has been served with court papers in relation to the above.
In addition, Richards Bay FC also qualified for the play-offs following their 4-0 thumping of Steenberg United 4-0, which effectively relegates the Cape side.
Two minutes before the break, Babina Noko grabbed their opening goal when Yusuf Maart steered the ball home however, Elias Monene levelled matters almost instantly.
Then Thabang Sibanyoni and Thabang Kobela put the issue beyond doubt but MacDonald Makhubedu's side must wait for the outcome of their arbitration.
At the other end of the table, Cape Town Spurs secured their status with a 2-1 victory over University of Pretoria, while TS Sporting just missed out on a top-three finish despite beating Pretoria Callies 2-0.
