GladAfrica Championship side Platinum City Rovers have expressed their excitement at having Oupa Manyisa on board, explaining what role they see him playing in the team.
The former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder has signed a one-year contract with the second tier outfit, after playing for Chippa United at the backend of last season.
His short spell at Chippa was not a success and now the 34-year has an opportunity to probably play regularly and try to help the club achieve its goal of suriving the first season in the GladAfrica Championship.
"Oupa will play a huge role in the team. He always encourages the guys about the game. He is totally a leader. We are very happy to have him as our player. He brings in a lot of experience into the team. Most of the players, including myself, look up to Oupa, so having in the team is motivating in itself," Rovers team manager Sifiso 'Shakes' Kabini told the Siya crew.
Rovers are currently top of the standings after three matches, with nine points in the bag. They travel to Thohoyandou Stadium on Saturday to take on Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila.
