Defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns renew their rivalry with SuperSport United in the first round of the MTN8 on Sunday evening.

Sundowns got back to winning ways in the league and went up to second on the table after thrashing Stellenbosch 3-0 in midweek.
The Brazilians won this tournament under the current sponsors for the first time last season following a penalty shootout win over Cape Town City in the final.
Masandawana have signed two players from SuperSport in the off-season, goalkeeper Ronwen Williams and Sipho Mbule.
Moving across to SuperSport, they finally won their first league game of the campaign at the fifth time of asking after edging Richards Bay 1-0 in midweek.
Matsatsantsa have won the tournament twice in the current guise, in 2017 and 2019.
SuperSport have acquired three players on loan from Sundowns, goalkeeper Ricardo Goss, Thabang Sibanyoni and Grant Margeman, but they all won't be eligible to play against their parent club.
The last time the sides met in the tournament was in the semi-finals in 2019 where eventual winners SuperSport prevailed 3-1 on aggregate.
