The Citizens, meanwhile, are still smarting from a cup defeat after they lost 2-1 in extra-time time against AmaZulu in the MTN8 quarter-finals last weekend.
City had a shaky start to their league season but finally got their first victory after beating Kaizer Chiefs 2-0 prior to their cup game.
The Western Cape outfit took four points off Galaxy last season after beating them 2-0 on home soil following a 2-2 draw at this evening's venue.
