Orlando Pirates will be gunning for back-to-back victories for the first time in the DStv Premiership when they travel to SuperSport United on Sunday evening.
Teams: SuperSport United v Orlando Pirates
Date: 21 August 2022
Venue: Lucas Moripe Stadium
Time: 17h30
Pirates bounced back from their narrow loss to Chippa United last Sunday after edging Royal AM 1-0 in midweek courtesy of a goal by Deon Hotto.
The win took the Buccaneers up to fifth on the log with seven points, just three points behind leaders AmaZulu.
SuperSport, in contrast, are still searching of their first victory and will be desperate for maximum points after back-to-back losses against Usuthu and TS Galaxy.
Gavin Hunt's charges have dropped down to the bottom of the table with only one point from three outings.
The sides cancelled each other out last season, as Pirates won the first round clash 3-2 and Matsatsantsa won the reverse 2-0 in the last game of the campaign that saw them qualify for the top eight.
The clash will also see defender Thulani Hlatshwayo come up against his former side, where he did not have the best time.
