The Buccanneers began life under new coach Jose Riveiro with a 1-0 win over Swallows in the original Soweto derby on Saturday afternoon.
The clash also saw a number of signings make their official debuts, including striker Bienvenu Eva Nga who scored the game's only goal.

Pirates will now come up against a Stellenbosch side looking for their first win of the new campaign after starting the game with a goalless draw against Marumo Gallants over the weekend.
Nigerian defender Olisa Ndah has been drafted back into the Pirates line-up after starting on the bench against Chippa, with Thapelo Xoki dropping to the bench this evening.
These two sides shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw in this fixture last season, before Pirates claimed a 3-0 win in the reverse fixture back in November.
