DStv Premiership Starting XI: Maritzburg United v Sekhukhune United 06 August 2022

Both Maritzburg United and Sekhukhune United will have new coaches in the dugout when they get their DStv Premiership campaign underway on Saturday evening.

Teams: Maritzburg United v Sekhukhune United

Date: 06 August 2022

Venue: Harry Gwala Stadium

Time: 20h00

Maritzburg parted ways with former head coach Ernst Middendorp in the off-season after they finished 12th on the log and have appointed John Maduka, who left Royal AM.

The Team of Choice's notable signings include Bongani Sam (on loan from Orlando Pirates), Given Mashikinya, Tshidiso Monamodi, goalkeeper King Ndlovu and Bonginkosi Makume.

Maritzburg have released the likes of Phumlani Ntshangase, Lucky Baloyi, Ryan Rae, Nazeer Allie, goalkeeper Marcel Engelhardt and Daylon Claasen.

Sekhukhune, meanwhile, have also made technical team changes after they appointed Kaitano Tembo as head coach in the off-season season. The former SuperSport United coach replaced MacDonald Makhubedu, who was retained as a senior coach.
