DStv Premiership Starting XI: AmaZulu v Sekhukhune United 07 May 2022

AmaZulu are back in KwaZulu-Natal for a DStv Premiership encounter against Sekhukhune United at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Teams: AmaZulu v Sekhukhune United

Date: 07 May 2022

Venue: Moses Mabhida Stadium

Time: 17h00

AmaZulu extended their unbeaten run since Brandon Truter took over to four matches after a 1-0 win over Truter's former team Swallows 1-0 on Tuesday.

In that run, Usuthu have collected ten points from a possible 12 points and as a result, they are in the race for a continental spot, although they are heavily reliant on other teams above them on the log dropping points.

Truter's charges are lying seventh on the log, six points adrift of CAF positions occupied by Royal AM and Cape Town City and will be hoping to keep their hopes alive, with three rounds of matches left.

Sekhukhune, meanwhile, have hopes of fighting for a top eight spot going into the last couple of games of the season, although their form does not inspire confidence after their 2-0 defeat against Mamelodi Sundowns on Tuesday extended their winless run to eight matches.

Babina Noko are placed tenth on the log, six points behind eighth-placed SuperSport United but their hopes could come to an end if they lose and Golden Arrows win their afternoon clash against Marumo Gallants. Sekhukhune, however, will take heart from the fact that they beat AmaZulu 2-0 in the reverse fixture.
