Orlando Pirates will be determined to reach their second CAF Confederation Cup final when they host Al Ahli Tripoli in the second leg of their semi-final.
Teams: Orlando Pirates v Al Ahli Tripoli
Date: 15 May 2022
Venue: Orlando Stadium
Tiime: 18h00
Pirates gave their chances of reaching the final a massive boost after winning the first leg 2-0 courtesy of first-half goals from Innocent Maela and Goodman Mosele.
The Buccaneers need to avoid defeat by the same scoreline or more to reach the final for the second time since 2015. The Soweto giants lost the 2015 final to Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel.
Al Ahli, on the other hand, saw their seven-game unbeaten run in the tournament come to an end after the first-leg loss to the Buccaneers.
The Libyan side need to overturn the scoreline or match the first-leg result in their favour to stand any chance of progressing to the final.
Pirates are meeting a Libyan side for the second time in the competition this season, as they were in the same group as Al-Ittihad, who beat the Buccaneers 3-2 at home before they played to a goalless draw at Orlando Stadium.
