CAF Champions League
Teams: Orlando Pirates v Green Eagles
Date: 24 August 2019
Venue: Orlando Stadium
Orlando Pirates will need a big performance to overturn their fortunes when they host Zambian side Green Eagles in the CAF Champions League preliminary round, second-leg tie at Orlando Stadium on Saturday night. The match is set to get underway at 21h00. The Buccaneers are still reeling from the 1-0 defeat in the first-leg against Eagles a fortnight ago in Lusaka, which started a bad run of three consecutive defeats in three different competitions, including the Absa Premiership and MTN8. Interim coach Rhulani Mokwena managed to steady the ship somewhat with a goalless draw against AmaZulu on Tuesday and his charges will be motivated to over-turn the tie and end their four-match winless run. Meanwhile, the Zambian outfit will also fancy their chances of an upset, given the bad form of Pirates, who were rocked by the resignation of their former coach Sredojevic. Spencer Sautu scored the only goal of the match in the first-leg for Eagles and they will be looking to snatch an away goal that could prove vital.
Here's how they line up:
Pirates: Sandilands, Jele, Mbekile, Maela, Mlambo, Makaringe, Mako, Pule, Lorch, Mhango, Shonga.
Subs: Delle, Nyauza, Nyatama, Dlamini, Ndlovu, Mabasa, Mulenga
