Cape Town City 0-2 Sundowns

Kaizer Chiefs 0-3 Sundowns
A big game on the opening weekend of the season ended with Sundowns demolishing Amakhosi at FNB Stadium. What better way to send a message to the rest of the league? Peter Shalulile opened the scoring for Sundowns eight minutes before half-time and Kermit Erasmus and Zwane sealed the emphatic victory in the second half.

Ramahlwe Mphahlele opened the scoring for Chiefs against his former side within the first 10 minutes of the game, but Ricardo Nascimento cancelled it out with a goal from the penalty spot after 25 minutes.
