The option in Themba Zwane's contract at Mamelodi Sundowns was exercised by the club and now the player has one wish regarding his future at Chloorkop.
There was a lot of talk surrounding the contract of the Sundowns captain after the end of last season, but the Tshwane giants finally made the decision to hold onto one of their longest serving players in PSL history by exercising the option they had on his deal.

It's unclear at this stage if it will be his last contract with the reigning Premiership champions, but one thing he does know is that he wants to end his career in the famous colours of the Brazilians. He turns 35 on August 3 and he is well aware of the fact that retirement is closer at this stage of his life.
"For me, I am happy because my aim is to finish my career at Sundowns and finish on a high note. I have another opportunity to work hard and contribute to the team," he said on Wednesday, during the launch of the MTN8 in Auckland Park, Johannesburg.
The Bafana Bafana star has been linked with clubs over the years, but was quick to reveal that there were no offers coming his way after the end of last season.
"To be honest, there were no offers," he said, without wanting to say much regarding the matter.

Whether or not he retires from the game as a Sundowns player, Zwane will certainly go down as one of the club greats, with achievements and moments that will live long in the memory. He signed for Sundowns in 2011 and has won it all with the club, including the big individual prize of footballer of the season.
Sundowns, meanwhile, will kickstart their MTN8 campaign against Polokwane City at Lucas Moripe Stadium, on August 11.
