The 36-year-old has now put pen-to-paper on a new four-year extension with the Brazilians.

"Our coach Rulani Mokwena, has agreed to a four-year contract extension with the football club," Sundowns Chairman. Mr Tlhopane Motsepe said via the club's social media accounts.

"What that means is we will have four more years of success, four more years of hard work and dedication and four more years of joy, trophies, and wonderful memories of the yellow nation."

Mokwena was also named DStv Premiership Coach of the Season last month, as the Brazilians romped to sixth successive league title.
