Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Rulani Mokwena has suggested that the imminent arrival of Terrence Mashego could spell the end of the road for some players at the club.

Sundowns, as they have in the past, have made it clear that only the best players are wanted at Chloorkop and they will stop at nothing to ensure that they get them, regardless of the price.
Therefore, it came as very little surprise when the club moved to secure the signature of Bafana Bafana left back Mashego who is expected to be unveiled at the club, as first reported by the Siya crew.
However, Mokwena does admit that Sundowns' pursuit of the best players could be to the detriment of others who do not form part of the club's plans, which could see them move on before the close of the transfer window on 22 September.
"[With] Terrence, until both clubs make an official statement, he's not a Sundowns player and because he's not a Sundowns player, officially, I'd like to refrain from discussing him, but what I can say to you is that we want the best players in this team and we try to recruit the best players in this team. When they become available in the market, you know we have an obligation to our supporters to make sure we move in that space to make our team as competitive as we possibly can." Mokwena told journalists at the club's Chloorkop base on Thursday.

"We try to recruit the best players and then of course, at this moment in time, the biggest thing for us now is when we bring in also we've got to let go because you can't have your cake and eat it. I don't know if that's applicable here but you can't have too many, that's the honest truth. So let's wait and see and I'm sure the club will make an official statement," he added.
