Former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Brent Carelse is hoping Cassius Mailula will remain consistent so that he makes a move to Europe and becomes a regular in the Bafana Bafana squad.
The in-form Mailula became the youngest player in the PSL era to reach double figures in a season for the club, when he bagged the winner in the opening CAF Champions League group stage clash against Sudanese outfit Al Hilal.

The 21-year-old from Limpopo has banged in seven goals in the DSTV Premiership and three in the Champions League, taking him to within just one goal of the top scorer at the club this season, Peter Shalulile. Mailula is in his first season in the topflight and he is making the most of the opportunities he is getting.
Carelse has been impressed with Mailula's progress this season and feels that the the player should consistently be exposed to pressure matches such as the ones Sundowns play in the Champions League.
"What a player. I'm enjoying every time I watch him play. You can see he loves scoring goals and I hope he continues this rich vein of form," Carelse told the Siya crew.

"Obviously, it's very important for them to keep him grounded, but I also think we should expose him to even more and I hope he becomes a regular in the national team and does well on the continental stage and hopefully we see him in one of the top leagues in Europe soon."
