Given their grueling exploits on the continent, which saw them go all the way to the CAF Champions League semi-finals, Sundowns have given their players an extended holiday period before reconvening for pre-season.
The Siya crew has been informed that the Brazilians have been given a date of 29 June to report to Chloorkop.
Fresh from signing a new four-year deal, Rulani Mokwena's immediate task will be assessing all the players, especially those that have been on loan at different DStv Premiership and Motsepe Foundation Championship clubs in the 2022/23 season before making a decision on the make-up of his squad.
This will be done with mainly the CAF Champions League and the domestic league and cup competitions in mind, as the Brazilians seek to conquer all before them next season.
That means a huge number of players are expected to turn up at the club's Chloorkop base, although it is not yet clear who is going to be kept or released.
The Siya crew has already revealed that Haashim Domingo, Mosa Lebusa, and Lyle Lakay are amongst those who are leaving the Brazilians, while the likes of Erwin Saavedra are likely to leave on loan.
Regarding the players that could be signed, Mokwena has revealed there will be very little in terms of arrivals. Though, Sundowns are understood to have signed Junior Mendieta and another South American attacker, while the club are closing in on the signing of Stellenbosch youngster, Olwethu Makhanya.
