Mamelodi Sundowns coach Manqoba Mngqithi has given an update on the progress of Thembinkosi Lorch, who is yet to return to full training with the rest of his teammates.
Lorch missed out on the pre-season tour of Austria as he was recovering from injury, but he is back on the pitch now, though it's not with the rest of the players.

Mngqithi said Lorch is in a good head space going into the new season recently returned from injury, but he is not likely to be back in contention for a place in the team this month. As reported by the Siya crew earlier this week, Lorch is likely to be fully fit to return when the Betway Premiership gets underway next month.
"Lorch is in a very good head space. He has already started training, though he is not yet into full training. It's him, (Sipho) Mbule who are still out because of those minor injuries. We believe he is in a good head space," Mngqithi told media on Thursday, ahead of this weekend's MTN8 clash against Polokwane City.

Mngqithi made it clear to Lorch that he has to deliver when is finally ready to play because they have a lot to choose from in terms of quality in the team. Lorch will need to work even harder to catch up with the rest of the players who were in Austria fighting for their places.
"He understands that he is employed by Sundowns and he has a responsibility to deliver for Sundowns. If he does not deliver for Sundowns, we have many other options. It's natural for every player to want to fight for his place.
