Coach Rulani Mokwena went for the tried and tested in the Sundowns line-up, although new signing Lucas Ribeiro Costa was named in the side along with Rivaldo Coetzee and Abdelmounaim Boutouil.
The South African champions raced into a two-goal lead in the first half, with last season's top scorer Peter Shalulile getting his name on the score-sheet for the first time on their tour.
New signing Ribeiro is seemingly having no problem fitting in with his teammates after bagging Sundowns' third goal in the 81st minute and his second in pre-season, while Mehmet Yüksel pulled one back for Sparta on 76 minutes,
Fellow new signing Thapelo Maseko rounded off the scoring for Mokwena's side in the final nine minutes of the second half with his first goal in a Sundowns shirt.
