SuperSport United captain Onismor Bhasera has pointed to one key factor that will help Thapelo Maseko settle in at Mamelodi Sundowns.
Maseko made a move to Sundowns after a good season last term with Matsatsantsa and will now have a bigger challenge of getting into the starting line-up at a club where competition for places is probably harder than what it would be at most clubs in the DStv Premiership.

But with former SuperSport players at Sundowns, Bhasera is confident Maseko can settle in and make a mark at Chloorkop. Ronwen Williams, Teboho Mokoena, Grant Kekana, Aubrey Modiba and Sipho Mbule are the players who left SuperSport in recent years to join Sundowns and they would definitely know what it takes to work to get into the team at Sundowns. This is the advice they can pass onto young Maseko.
"It's a good move for the boy. You grow. It's a different home for him. The good thing is that he has a few guys who were at SuperSport, so I think it's going to be easy for him. He's a good player and you know when you are a good player, it's easy for you to gel," Bhasera said to the Siya crew.
"It's a loss for us as a club, but it's good for him because he is at a new club. We all wish him good luck. He played his part for the club and worked very hard. He worked for his move, so well done to him. I know the club would have wanted to keep him, but you know that's football. Players always move around, so we wish him all the best."

Bhasera feels that only time will tell if Maseko's move to Chloorkop was too early or not.
"We can only tell later. For now, we just need to wish him luck and let him go out there and find out how it is out there and grow as a player."
