Former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Bennett Mnguni says playing for Masandawana is extra motivation for players to go on to achieve greater things and that's one of the reasons why the team keeps excelling.
In a one on one interview with Soccer Laduma, Mnguni stated that the Brazilians always know how to bring in both young talented players, as well as experienced quality players who understand the system of the club and how they operate.

"When they promote or sign young players they do so with players who want to prove themselves. The experienced players are quality players who add value to the team," Mnguni told Soccer Laduma.
"There is always tough competition among the players which makes them work hard. You know that when you are in the first 11 this week you have to work hard to be in the team again the following week.
"And the most important thing is we always sign players who understand the system. We don't sign players who will struggle to adjust when they join the club. That's why Sundowns are always on top of their game," Mnguni told Soccer Laduma.
The former midfielder added that the players are always motivated to perform at their best for Sundowns so that they can be selected for their respective national teams and win another star through the CAF Champions League.
"Once you are at Sundowns you want to go overseas and to do that you have to play for the national team and that motivates them and it helps the team ultimately.
"Also they know they have the chance to earn another star and go on to play against the Champ of Champs like Real Madrid and other teams (in the Fifa Club World Cup). That's another motivation which at the end helps the team.
"That's why you always get the best from Sundowns' players. They play for a bigger purpose and motivation," Mnguni concluded.
