With his contract having entered its final few months, questions have once again been asked about the coach's future at Chloorkop.
The general view all round has been that everyone is happy in their current positions, with Rulani Mokwena occupying the head coach role, while Michael Loftman has been listed as the Brazilians' assistant coach.
Having joined the club back in 2014, the 52-year-old coach looks set to mark a decade at Chloorkop, with his representative confident of agreeing a new deal with the reigning DStv Premiership champions.
"Yes. We at the moment are speaking to Mamelodi Sundowns. Manqoba (Mngqithi) is happy at the club. We've said this all along and now it just depends on us coming to an agreement with the football club to extend his contract," Makaab told Gagasi FM.
"It's still early days as far as the negotiations are concerned, but I'm hoping that within the next seven to 14 days. So, within the next couple of weeks, we'll have more clarity on Manqoba's future.
"He's extremely happy at the football club."
