Donay Jansen has made the bold prediction that Kaizer Chiefs have what it takes to win the Betway Premiership title this season.
Amakhosi suffered their second consecutive defeat, going down 1-0 to Matsatsantsa at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Saturday, exactly seven days after hammering the same side at the same venue 4-0 in the Carling Knockout last 16.

Despite the slow start to the campaign, Jansen believes Nasreddine Nabi's side has what it takes to finally win the Premiership title. They last won it in 2014/15 under the tutelage of Stuart Baxter, so it would be exactly 10 years to the last time they won it, if they clinch it this season.
"I think they can win the league. I think they are a very good team. They have good players in the team, so definitely they can win the league this season," Jansen, who is on loan for the season from Chiefs, said to the Siya crew recently.
Jansen joined the Amakhosi youth ranks in 2018 and was promoted to the first team last season under caretaker coach Cavin Johnson. Throughout his time in the youth sides and the DSTV Diski Challenge side, he won some trophies and he is hoping to make a return at the end of the season to fight for his place in Nabi's team.
"Most definitely. I see myself going back to Chiefs and giving my level best for the team. I know how they are working there at Chiefs. So, I would like to go back. Being at Chiefs has been phenomenal, getting to know the coaches there and learning from them," he said.

Being at SuperSport means working with head coach Gavin Hunt, who usually gives youngsters an opportunity to prove themselves. With Hunt coaching him, Jansen could get the right type of top flight experience that will help him excel when he returns to Naturena.
"He's a great coach. He likes youngsters and gives them an opportunity to showcase their talent in the PSL. He has been great. I know him when he was at Chiefs also and he was giving youngsters a chance to play. He is a very good coach."
With the victory over Amakhosi, SuperSport moved into the top eight while the Soweto giants dropped down into the bottom half of the table in ninth.
