Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Thatayaone Ditlhokwe has become one of the most valuable players at his new Libyan outfit Al-Ittihad after his big money transfer.
The transfer of Ditlhokwe to Al-Ittihad came a shock, with news of the Libyan side's negotiations with Chiefs breaking a few days after before their transfer window closed.
Amakhosi are believed to have received approximately R15 million for the Botswana captain, which is more or less the same as Transfermarkt's valuation of €810, 000 (R15,5 million) attributed to him.
The market valuation of 'TT' puts him as the second most valuable player according to the aforementioned transfer website, only behind midfielder Mohamed Zrida who was bought from Raja Casablanca, valued at €1,2 million (R23 million).
Zrida had a successful five-year stint in the senior team at Raja, winning six trophies, including two Botola Pro title, with one won under former coaches Josef Zinnbauer and Fadlu Davids.

Even Al Ahly forward Kahraba, on loan at Al Ittihad is valued below the former Amakhosi defender at €600, 000 (R11,5 million).
The Egyptian attacker has featured in 144 games, scored 48 goals and had eight assists for the Red Devils.
Ditlhokwe having an open mind to switch to Al-Ittihad was made easier by the presence of his compatriot, striker Tomisang Orebonye, who was put on the map by Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi, who bought him for FAR Rabat.
The Libyan side paid The Militarians $500, 000 (R9,2 million) to prize Orebonye away from Rabat, as Transfermarkt values him at exactly €500, 000 (R9,6 million).
