A few months remain before the contract of Khama Billiat expires and the Siya crew understands that there are quite a few factors that will go into making the final decision on his future with the club.
Billiat is having a difficult season which has been hampered by injury, having last featured for Amakhosi in the Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates in October last year.

The Siya crew understands that Billiat is on a big salary package at Naturena, making him one of the highest paid players at the club. But with age and injuries often hampering his progress, as well as the big salary, Amakhosi are expected to consider these factors as they decide on what happens next in the player's career.
Another concern, the Siya crew understands, has been the player's form in the current campaign. Billiat has registered four assists this season, but word reaching the Siya crew is that there have been some concerns over the player's form.
Billiat is turning 33 in August and Amakhosi have not always given players of that age long-term deals. In fact, Amakhosi have parted ways with quite a number of players in their 30s who went on to feature for other clubs in the DStv Premiership, such as Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Tinashe Nengomasha, Willard Katsande and Bernard Parker.
Chiefs are still on a mission to build a squad that will compete for silverware and some of the experienced campaigners, such as Billiat and Mulomowandau Mathoho, may not feature in the plans.

Should Billiat stay at Naturena, a salary cut may not be ruled out.
