Known for his influential performances, Sirino received a red card against SuperSport United, and former Amakhosi defender Thabang Rooi believes his absence will be a significant blow to Chiefs.
In an exclusive interview with Soccer Laduma, the Vanderbijlpark-based former defender discussed Sirino's impact on the Glamour Boys and his teammates.
"He is a very important part of the team. You know when him and Mdu Shabalala are in the team, you are sure the team will perform well together. He has that thing that gives the other players the confidence as well and playing against Sundowns without him is not a good thing. The team will miss him and the players will also miss his motivation. You know, if you have Inacio Miguel in defence and then Sirino in the midfield, then you have the needed experience and they will miss that against that Sundowns midfield. They really need him in that game," Rooi told the Siya crew.

However, Rooi emphasized that this is an opportunity for other players to step up and make a difference for Amakhosi.
"That's when other players should raise their hands and be counted. You know this becomes an opportunity for other players to prove themselves by giving their best and helping the team win. After all, it's a team sport and when one is out then the others should take responsibility and it's doesn't come much better and bigger than playing against Sundowns," Rooi told Soccer Laduma.
