Kaizer Chiefs could be on course to delight their hordes of supporters when the transfer window reopens in January next year.
Inasmuch as Chiefs fans would want to see the club bring on board all the required arsenal after an overhaul of the squad last season, the reality is that it takes more than just one window to get all the pieces of the puzzle together.

Soccer Laduma reported in edition 1295 of the newspaper, currently on sale, that Amakhosi plan to raid the market when the next window opens.
The Glamour Boys head coach Arthur Zwane gave a hint of which positions the club is likely to target, after revealing that they need to take some responsibilities off the shoulders of Kgaogelo Sekgota, following their win over Swalows.
"We need another player that can take responsibilities off the shoulders of winger Kgaogelo Sekgota," Zwane said post-match, giving an indication that they intend on opening the purse strings come January.
The Siya crew has been informed that Chiefs have identified two local targets to bring to Naturena in the next registration period, Sibongiseni Mthethwa and Junior Mendieta, both from Stellenbosch.
Amakhosi showed frailties in defensive midfield in the early stages of the season, before Zwane eventually settled for Njabulo Blom, who has excelled so far in that position.
Mendieta in particular, is believed to be ticking all the boxes that Zwane and his cohorts require from a winger and could be the perfect tonic to bring the best out of striker Ashley Du Preez, who has not lived up to expectations since joining from the Cape Winelands outfit.
In the same report, this publication exclusively revealed that a team of talent scouts at Chiefs are having sleepless nights tracking down forward Emmaneul Gebremichael, who plies his trade for Ethiopian side Saint George.
At 23, Gebremichael already has 25 caps for the Ethiopian national team, with four goals and two assists to his name.
It could appear as if Amakhosi are following the footsteps of Mamelodi Sundowns in venturing into the Ethiopian market after Masandawana signed Abubaker Nasir from Ethiopian Coffee.
However, it was Chiefs who were heavily linked with Nasir after his exploits of netting 29 goals in 22 league matches in the 2020/21 season.
But the Glamour Boys seemingly hesitated and were beaten to Nasir's signature by Sundowns, who arranged for his arrival in their training base in January this year, as they signed him and loaned him back to Ethiopian Coffee for the remaining six months of the season.
After that lesson, Chiefs could be forced to act quickly on Gebremichael, ideally in the January transfer window, if they are convinced he is the real deal, to avoid losing out on a potentially big talent.
The Glamour Boys also almost let a potentially big talent out of their grasp after they dragged their feet to sign Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana after he spent three weeks on trial and was initially released without a contract.
However, after their struggles in front of goal in the first few matches, the Soweto giants made a U-turn and announced Bimenyimana as a late signing despite the Burundian spending much time with the team during pre-season.
