Kaizer Chiefs captain Itumeleng Khune has asked the general public to give the team some credit for what they have achieved so far in the league this season.
Khune made the call to supporters after the team had lost 2-3 to Golden Arrows in a DStv Premiership encounter on Sunday.
The veteran goalkeeper said after losing three games in a row the team bounced back and played another three games without losing and without conceding as well.

He said that was a sign that the team was not doing as bad as people put it out there.
"We need to be given credit. We agree that we lost three games in a row but after that we played very well and kept three clean sheets when we beat Royal AM, drew with TS Galaxy and then beat Maritzburg United. Its true we lost to Golden Arrows and we have to change our mind sets to keep on doing well in almost all the games. We take full responsibility as players and that we have to pull up our socks starting with the Soweto Derby on Saturday," Khune said.
The captain added that they have been having discussions amongst themselves through the captain committee which include senior players like Eric Mathoho, Keagan Dolly and Sifiso Hlanti.
"We have seen that the talka we have as players have been helpful to the team. We discuss amongst ourselves of what we need to do as players before we can meet with the coaches and that has really helped us in the team," Khune observed.
