The Siya crew has been led to believe that a few Kaizer Chiefs players who still have contracts beyond this season are not completely safe from staying with the club.
Amakhosi are understood to already be planning for next season, with a vision of building a strong squad to ensure head coach Arthur Zwane can challenge for the DStv Premiership. There is a possibility that Amakhosi could qualify for one of the CAF club competitions next season, so the club will need to make some important decisions on playing personnel.

Soccer Laduma looks at the players who may not be necessarily safe from the axe, despite having contracts beyond the end of this season.
Austin Dube
The former Richards Bay and TS Galaxy defender has made just one appearance for the Soweto giants and looks set to part ways with Amakhosi, especially with Thatayaone Ditlhokwe set to join from SuperSport United next season. Dube, in fact, was linked with an exit during the January transfer window, but remained at Naturena. The left-sided centre back will have one more year left on his contract when this season ends, but chances are there could be a separation.
Njabulo Ngcobo
He joined Amakhosi as the reigning DStv Premiership defender of the season, but Ngcobo has become a fringe player and the Siya crew has been informed that the 28-year-old may not be part of Zwane's plans next season, with new players set to join next term. Ngcobo has made just nine appearances in all competitions this season, playing just one minute of competitive football in 2023.

Cole Alexander
Alexander is having a difficult season, with little action on the pitch and Chiefs are understood to be open to parting ways with the 33-year-old, considering he is not playing much. The former Bidvest Wits midfielder, who has played six times this season, has not played since the Soweto Derby before the FIFA World Cup, when he came on as a substitute with 11 minutes to go. As previouslt reported by the Siya crew, indications are that Stellenbosch are monitoring the midfielder's situation at Naturena.
