Kaizer Chiefs forward Khama Billiat has opened up about how the special relationship he has with Keagan Dolly is rubbing off on other teammates.
Billiat has played with Dolly in three different clubs, dating back to their times at Ajax Cape Town (renamed Cape Town Spurs), where they both made their names before they were signed by Mamelodi Sundowns in consecutive seasons, in 2013 and 2014 respectively.

Dolly had a four-and-half year spell at French Ligue 1 side Montpellier before he was signed by Chiefs in July 2021, where he reunited with Billiat, who had joined Chiefs three seasons prior.
The two Amakhosi attackers famously won the CAF Champions League together at Sundowns in 2016, among other major titles under then coach Pitso Mosimane, in the attacking trio that included Leonardo Castro, also formerly with the Glamour Boys, dubbed 'CBD'.
And the duo's understanding of each other has come to the fore at the Naturena-based side.
Billiat has explained that their telepathy on the field has also been enhanced by the relationship they have off the field.
"We train, we speak, we get to a point whereby is not more about what we do at training, sometimes it's just the conversation that goes in the hotel," Billiat said in the Vodacom Ringa Nathi interview on the club's official YouTube Channel.
"Or we're watching the game together at the hotel or in the room, we see something, we speak about it. Automatically we've grown to understand the situation when it comes.
"We automatically know what's happening or what we spoke about and that also leads to a good understanding with each other. But we're having that with the whole squad and we're getting better everyday," he said.
"The more we train, everyday we come to training, we see something and be like 'Oh, wow, we didn't know we're getting to this level of understanding'".
Billiat went on to explain that the understanding he has with Dolly on the field has almost become second nature, given how long he has known him.
"Ja, it's nice, it's also way better when it happens during the game because we know we've worked for it and we've spoken about it," he said.
"We do talk a lot, I'm close to a lot of guys, also Keagan is one of them and we've known each other for a long time and some other things we don't even need to talk.

"We see, we look at each other in the game and then automatically we understand what's happening or what's the next move you know," he went on.
"It's a relationship we have and it's obviously spreading to the team, we're getting to know a lot of players and a lot of positive things from other people and we're getting to work also on those relationships, we're looking forward to a great finish of the season," he added.
