Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane says Yusuf Maart's omission from the national team should serve as an opportunity for the midfielder to do some introspection on his personal performances.

The football fraternity was torn over whether or not the 26-year-old deserves to be part of Hugo Broos' 23-man squad for the upcoming friendly internationals against Angola and Mozambique in Mbombela next week.
While he has scored a spectacular Soweto Derby goal, Broos is of the opinion that Maart hasn't given him the consistency that warrants a national team call-up.
Now, Maart's club coach Zwane has weighed in on the matter, saying that improved performances in future could see the Cape-born midfielder return to the Bafana Bafana setup in future.
"That's football, we respect the national coach's opinion," Zwane told journalists at the club's media open day on Wednesday.
"He knows the players that he wants and how he wants to play, we have to respect that and give him the support that he deserves. Yes, Yusuf for me has been doing well. I know that as time goes on, he'll also improve and be a better player and it will obviously depend on the coach as to whether he'll select him going forward but as for the national team, it's all about individual performance-based, in terms of being selected.
"I think that alone will help Yusuf as well to look at himself and as to how we can help him as coaches to improve his game, and I have no doubt he'll be part of the national team in future," he said.
Meanwhile, Zwane also commented on the Chiefs players who were selected, such as Njabulo Blom and Kgaogelo Sekgota, both of who have experienced a rich vein of form in recent times.
"We are obviously happy for Sekgota and Njabulo. For me, they deserve it, they have been doing very well. It's one of those where you have to try and help them to be even more focused and trying to improve their game as well. As much as they've been doing well, you want them to bring their A-game as well. They've done well so far, and we keep on encouraging them to give their best and now they are rewarded with a national team call-up which is very important for their individual careers," he concluded.
