Junior 'Aghahowa' Khanye has commented on the latest developments at Kaizer Chiefs amid the surprise exit of Cavin Johnson.
On Monday, Chiefs confirmed the parting of ways with Johnson whose role ended as interim coach in the first team, as opposed to his original position he was appointed for in September as the Head of Academy.

There was not much explanation from the Soweto giants as to what happened regarding the initial plan for Johnson to oversee the club's youth academy and scouting network.
Khanye believes that there was not much that Johnson could have done to change Chiefs' fortunes when he took over from Molefi Ntseki in October.
"Yes, Cavin Johnson failed, but we understand football differently, and Kaizer Chiefs can't fool us. Cavin was brought in as interim coach to the senior side and the team was already not in a good state when he took over. He wouldn't have been able to solve Chiefs' problems in such a short space of time, because the club's problems didn't start now, but have been there for a while. I can go as far as giving you the date to say Chiefs' problems started in 2005," said Khanye.
"Look at all the coaches that have been hired since then and tell me what happened. I'm talking about the likes of Ernst Middendorp, Stuart Baxter, Gavin Hunt and Steve Komphela, although I give Steve the benefit of doubt, because I felt he could have done well with a little bit more time in charge. But all I am saying is that, of all the coaches that have been appointed at Chiefs in recent times, no one gets anywhere close to the late Ted Dumitru or Cavin Johnson when it comes to the philosophy and understanding of South African football and players," he added.

"The question is, did Chiefs give Cavin the budget to sign players? Did they give him the go ahead to select his own technical team like they seem to be doing now with the incoming coach? The answer is no. He was thrown in there and was expected to miraculously get the results. I mean, with those players? You can bring Pep Guardiola, and he can't win anything with those players. Why are some of those players being let go now? (Siyethemba) Sithebe was playing (regularly, after recovering from injury), (Sifiso) Hlanti was playing, and (Keagan) Dolly had also been playing before the injury, and why are they now being let go? There's nothing that Cavin could have done with those players at Chiefs, we need to be honest," concluded Khanye.
