Kaizer Chiefs players' mindset appears to be blamed by former goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune, on why teams no longer fear facing Amakhosi.
With the Glamour Boys not competing for titles until recently reaching the Nedbank Cup final, there has been a sentiment from supporters that teams don't perceive the Soweto giants as intimidating anymore.

It would be rare at least ten years back to have a so-called small team completing a league double over Amakhosi, after Golden Arrows did exactly that when edged the Naturena based outfit 2-1 last month, following a 1-0 win in January.
SuperSport United also boast a league double over Chiefs, after a 1-0 win in October last year was followed by a 4-1 thrashing in February.
While Mamelodi Sundowns also beat Amakhosi twice in the league this season.
According to Khune, everything starts with the mindset of players at a big team like Chiefs, in order to get consistent results.
"It's heart-breaking to see the club going from being the greatest and the most feared to just anybody coming to FNB and they know they're going to win already. So there's no more fear," Khune said on TimesLIVE Video YouTube Channel.
"People during our generation of the likes of Shabba (Siphiwe Tshabalala), Yeye (Reneilwe Letsholonyane), (Tsepo) Masilela, (Bernard) Parker, (George) Maluleka, (Tefu) Mashamaite, 'Tower' (Eric Mathoho), teams would shake in the tunnel, the way we were game ready, serious faces. You never used to joke with us when we're in the tunnel, even us we wouldn't joke with each other.

"We won games before we went into the field. Teams used to park the bus against us but we were patient, (even) if it takes up to the 90th minute, that's how good and confident we were. Kaizer Chiefs needs to go back there," Khune added.
The Glamour Boys will have a chance to boost their confidence with a first trophy in a decade when they clash against Orlando Pirates in the Soweto derby Nedbank Cup final on 10 May, their first cup final since 2019.
