FRIDAY DEBATE: Are Chiefs Set For Third Straight Victory?

FRIDAY DEBATE: Are Chiefs Set For Third Straight Victory?

Kaizer Chiefs have an opportunity to make it three DStv Premiership wins in a row this weekend, so this Friday Debate asks if Molefi Ntseki's men can upset a side that has sometimes given them problems.

Before the international break, Amakhosi recorded back-to-back league victories against AmaZulu and Stellenbosch FC, moving themselves up to fifth place after a slow start in their first three matches of the campaign. They have an opportunity to close the gap on log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns to eight points, but they need to be at their best to upset an unpredictable Royal AM side. Can they do it?

Tshemedi Molopo - Chiefs supporter

Tomorrow's game is going to be one of the big games so far this season, especially because Royal AM has always been a team that troubles them. If you look at both sides, they are coming into this fixture on the back of two consecutive wins in the league and I think this break would have done a lot of good things to the Kaizer Chiefs side because they had a new striker who was still settling in.

The break would have worked to his advantage. Chiefs did not have a lot of players in the national teams, so they might have used this period to induct Gonzalez well into the squad. I think it might have come at a good time for them to allow Gonzalez to adapt. When you look at the injuries, the two week break might have worked to get guys like Keagan Dolly back in the team. This will improve the quality in the Chiefs side. It will definitely come as a boost, so I am expecting them to win, but it won't be a walk in the park.

Vincent Rammoni - Former Dondol Stars coach

I give Chiefs a win for this one. Take nothing away from Royal AM, but Chiefs are starting to get into the gear now and are starting to understand the football that coach Ntseki wants them to play. The relationship between the midfield trio is starting to come along nicely and they are now in a space where they understand each others' weaknesses and strengths. They are now working more as a team than in isolation, but I'm yet to see how they deal with socio-relationships within their playing structure.

Mokete Tsotetsi - former Chiefs defender

Looking at the break they have had, I think Chiefs will be able to get a win and make it three in a row. They would have probably used the break to work on some key areas to make sure that they continue from where they left off before the international break. Royal AM is not an easy side to play against, but I think Chiefs are looking good at the moment and you can see that they are understanding what the coach wants from them.
