Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Steven Ncanana has sadly passed away.
According to the information gathered by the Siya crew, Ncanana was admitted to hospital last week for an illness which he has since succumbed to.

Ncanana was signed by Chiefs in 2010 and was with the Soweto giants until 2012. The defensive midfielder struggled for game-time at the star-studded Amakhosi and he eventually left the club to join Blackburn Rovers in the second tier in 2012.
He had made his Amakhosi debut under Vladimir Vermezovic and current Chiefs' team manager Gerald Sibeko was one of his teammates at the time.
Thanda Royal Zulu and Richards Bay FC are some of the clubs that Ncanana played for in his professional career.

The Mtubatuba-born player was 36 years old at the time of his passing.
