Kaizer Chiefs are understood to have an interest in Cape Town City striker Khanyisa Mayo, but one of the big factors will be the transfer fee, the Siya crew has established.
Word reaching the Siya crew is that the Citizens are not completely closed off to selling Mayo at the end of the season, if they receive the right offer. As things stand, the club exercised the option in the player's contract, meaning Amakhosi would have to fork out a big fee for the former Richards Bay FC striker.

Mayo is currently top of the scorers' chart on 12 goals with Mamelodi Sundowns' Peter Shalulile and interest in his services is believed to have grown so much over the last few weeks.
Amakhosi have previously shown an interest in the services of Mayo, but a deal with City did not materialise and another effort is expected to be made to try to bring the 25-year-old on board for next season, as recently reported by the Siya crew.
The Soweto giants are in the market to improve their squad for next season and the final third is one of the areas believed to have been prioritised by management, especially with Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana and Christian Saile struggling to solve the club's scoring problems.
It's unclear, at this stage, if an agreement over a transfer fee will be reached between Amakhosi and the Citizens for the services of Mayo, but discussions are expected to be held.

Amakhosi have already secured Mduduzi Mdantsane for next season and more signings are expected to be made to improve on another disappointing campaign.
