He is a beloved son of the club, but Doctor Khumalo dropped a few bombshells when he opened up on what is happening at Kaizer Chiefs.

Just last month Jabulani Mendu revealed to journalists that Chiefs are in the process of opening a pathway for club legends to provide input to help solve the club's ongoing trophy drought.
However on this week, Doctor Khumalo, who became a household name at Amakhosi, shared opposing views, stating that legends' opinions aren't welcomed at the club, due to egos.
Khumalo revealed that he has his reservations about Chiefs' player acquisitions, a department that is headed up by Kaizer Motaung Jr and Bobby Motaung.
"I'll always be a Kaizer Chiefs fan and always be a legend, but unfortunately the door is not open for us to echo. I cannot force that to happen [I'd] rather watch from a distance, I don't want to burn my fingers," he told Marawa Sports Worldwide.
"If Pitso [Mosimane] has to do that [coach Chiefs], he is a great coach and he has proven himself and I'd like to believe that he can be the best coach at Kaizer Chiefs – but I've got my reservations about that because of certain things that are happening within the club that are not supposed to, especially player acquisition.
"I can say much, but this is not the right platform for me to do that, I don't want to tramp on anyone's toes. I would love to intervene – but the platform is not available for us.
"At the end of the day, it's more of ego – because personally I think that they show you a smile but when you turn it's something different and that I'm aware of. It's not like it's something that I can do to echo – but I've heard when some of the legends had lunch with the Chairman, William Shongwe expressed to say, allow us to bring some talent to the club and that was it. But the unfortunate part is just that it is done without the views of those who walked the path."
