Kaizer Chiefs could be afforded an opportunity to sign an experienced striker from Mamelodi Sundowns, the Siya has been led to believe.
Although Amakhosi coach Arthur Zwane stated the club is done in the market, according to information received by the Siya crew, Downs attacker Kermit Erasmus, is ready to leave Chloorkop in search of more game-time, but it is believed there are a handful of clubs that would be able to pay his salary package.
A well-placed source has told the Siya crew that the the former SuperSport United and Orlando Pirates striker would consider a move to Naturena, but it's unclear at this stage if it would be on loan or permanently.
"No one can afford it unless Sundowns pays half the wage. The player thinks he can join Chiefs," an insider told the Siya crew.
Erasmus is in the final year of his contract with Sundowns, after joining the side from Cape Town City in 2020. Chiefs have brought in Ashley Du Preez and Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana as their two strikers during the transfer window, but Zwane does not have other options in that department.
