In the past, Kaizer Chiefs have had to pay substantial sums for their former youth development products, such as Zitha Kwinika and Mduduzi Mdantsane, are are now eyeing another academy graduate.
Indications are that Chiefs are reportedly interested in re-signing defender Lungelo Bhengu, who currently plays for Cape Town Spurs. As previously reported by the Siya crew, it's believed that Amakhosi have made inquiries about the 24-year-old.

Siya sources have revealed that Bhengu's current market value ranges between R5 million and R10 million.
"The interest is there but now they have to consider the money that they will pay. You know he was in their development until 2019 when he left to join Maritzburg United. Actually he was released and unfornately they want him back now and it will cost them more money. From what I know, his price ranges between R5m to R10m but it's subject to negotiations. You should remember he is only 24 years old and has a great future ahead of him. So let's wait and see," the insider revealed to Siya crew.

Another insider pointed out that if Chiefs proceed with the deal, it wouldn't be the first time they've had to buy one of their own development products.
"If this happens it won't be for the first time. It happened with Zitha Kwinika as well as Mduduzi Mdantsane. Both of them are Chiefs development products but look at how much they paid for them. It's about to happen again now with Lungelo Bhengu. Maybe this will be a lesson to them this time around," the source added.
If signed, the 24-year-old Bhengu could be cover in the right back position. At present, midfielder Njabulo Blom occasionally fills in that position.
The Siya crew reached out to Chiefs for comment, but attempts were unsuccessful.
