As Kaizer Chiefs look to strengthen their squad for the next season, news reaching the Siya crew is that Amakhosi are believed to be targeting a Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder.
Insiders have revealed that the club is exploring ways to bring former Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder Neo Maema to Naturena.

Indications are that club's scouting and recruitment department has recommended Maema as an important addition for the future.
"As for Sundowns, they are looking and downsizing the squad at the end of the season and Chiefs are believed to be looking to use that window space to pursue Maema. They have apparently been monitoring him for sometime and now they have the chance to sign him if Sundowns let's him go. So yes it's true, Chiefs are believed to he pursuing Neo Maema," a source revealed to the Siya crew.
Suggestions are that Amakhosi look set to release some players at the end of this campaign.
"They are working around the clock behind closed doors as they look at which players to release or loan out while at the same time they are already working on which ones to bring in, with Neo Maema being one of their believed target as things stand," the source added.

Maema joined Sundowns in 2021 from Bloemfontein Celtic, and the 29-year-old midfielder has featured in only five games this season, after making 16 appearances and scoring one goal last season.
The Siya crew reached out to Chiefs for comment but attempts were unsuccessful.
