A source close to the player has informed the Siya crew that the contract of the former Chiefs youth player expires on June 30 2024, with indications that the club is understood to be keen on acting quickly to tie down the player.
Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane is an admirer of the defender, who has since bounced back after blunders earlier in the campaign.
Insiders have revealed that discussions for a two-year extension look set to take place in the coming weeks.
"The people outside and the supporters don't see what the people inside the team who work day in day out with him see. The management and technical team value what Siya (Ngezana) brings to the team and that's why they have offered him an extra two years on his current contract. They are doing that to most of their young players who have come through the ranks. The technical team is happy with his progress and they believe he still has alot to offer and that's why they have recommended his contract extension," said the source.
