Kaizer Chiefs have been on the look out for a new striker since coach Nassereddine Nabi joined the team, with questions being raised about the club's new acquisitions.
After failing to land their their desired transfer targets, club acted quickly during the January transfer window to secure the services of Tashreeq Morris.
Insiders close to the club have informed the Siya crew that the club management is understood to have high hopes for the former SuperSport United striker, believing he can help address the club's scoring issues.

The insider mentioned that the club feels Morris offers attributes that differ from those of the other strikers currently at the club.
"They needed a striker and they found that Morris would be the right striker at the moment. And though he has just played four games so far and scored one goal, they have high hopes for him. The thing is, we believe that he is different from the other strikers that they already have and that's why they have high hopes in him. The club knows that once he gets used to the way Chiefs plays he will be a great asset to the club and that's why they signed him," a source revealed to the Siya crew.

Indications are the club felt that Morris was a necessary acquisition, are still waiting to see how he performs, with just four games played for the club so far.
"They think Ranga Chivaviro, Wandile Duba, Ashley Du Preez and even youngster Naledi Hlongwane could have done the job until the end of the season then sign a new striker but they should not have signed Tashreeq (Morris). But they can undo that right now and hence they have high hopes that he could help the team with scoring goals which they really need at the moment," the source added.
Morris, who was injured during Chiefs' 1-0 defeat to Sundowns on Saturday, will be out for two weeks. The 30-year-old has one goal in four games for Amakhosi.
The Siya crew reached out to Chiefs for comments but attempts were unsuccessful.
