With Sifiso Hlanti suspended for Kaizer Chiefs' Premiership match against Sekhukhune United, head coach Arthur Zwane has quite a number of options in that left back role for Amakhosi.
Hlanti picked up his fourth yellow card in the Nedbank Cup quarterfinal clash against Royal AM last weekend and will have to sit out the fixture. This is no train smash for Zwane, who has quite a few options for that position.

Happy Mashiane has not had a lot of game-time this season and is itching start for the Soweto giants. The last time the 25-year-old started a match for Amakhosi was in January against AmaZulu, when Hlanti was suspended. Chiefs are in a similar position now and Mashiane will be hoping that Zwane can show faith by starting him against Sekhukhune this weekend.
But that's not Zwane's only option at left back. Reeve Frosler can play at either right or left back and could be used as a replacement for Hlanti, which would give the head coach an opportunity to bring back Dillan Solomons on the right. Frosler is versatile and has shown on numerous occasions in the past that he has no problem playing as a left back.

Should Zwane want more experience in that position, Edmilson Dove provides that. The Mozambican international has been playing as a left-sided centre back for Amakhosi since joining as a free agent early this season, but came to South Africa playing as a left back when he was in the colours of Cape Town City. Playing at left back would give Zwane an opportunity to bring Zitha Kwinika back into the starting line-up, as a central defender alongside Siyabonga Ngezana.
