In what came as an utter shock to many fans in South Africa, former Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Toni Silva held nothing back in an open letter to coach Pitso Mosimane this week. Have you seen the responses on social media?
Earlier this month, Silva left the PSL giants for Al-Ittihad in Egypt after what can be deemed as an unhappy spell with Downs.
This week, Silva produced an open letter explaining his failed tenure with the club and his relationship with "Jingles" in particular, slamming the former Bafana Bafana coach for how he was treated.
He blasted Pitso in saying that his "arrogance" and "ego" has led to many players being unhappy at the club. He also mentioned that Mosimane made him sign an agreement that he will not play for another South African team within the next five years or he would have to pay the club €5 million (R77.8 million).
As such, it didn't take long for Silva to become a hot topic on social media, and he soon began trending on Twitter.
